The Children Panel Qualification Course: 18 CPD hours all available online
Anyone who wishes to join the Children Panel must fulfil certain criteria. One of those criteria is to undertake the 18-hour CPD Children Panel qualification course.
Tailoring your training to the way we work today, we’re focusing on the most flexible way of working for the delegate. The usual three-day course, in our opinion, is too long for most people to obtain the best learning outcomes. We believe that allowing the delegate to learn at their own pace, and at a time convenient to them, is the best way forward. With that in mind we will make available training in two-hour segments that you can download and watch on your computer when you wish. With 18 hours worth of CPD hours, topics include:
Session one Overview of Child Law, Section 8 Orders, and link with Public Child Care Law
Session two Commencement of Public Law proceedings, emergency procedures, and injunctions
Session three Care and Supervision Orders, contact within care proceedings, assessments and experts
Session four Transfer, assessments and disclosure of documentation, impact of the Human Rights Act 1998 to Child Care Law, Public Law outline, and preparation
Session five Split hearings and threshold hearings, type of order and issues resolution, the final hearing, and discharge of Care Orders
Session six Transfer, assessments and disclosure of documentation, impact of the Human Rights Act 1998 to Child Care Law, Public Law outline, and preparation
