Safda Mahmood
Safda Mahmood, LLB (Hons), Dib. L, M.A., F.H e., Cert. Ed., is a senior solicitor, with a public authority, and extensive experience in both practising and teaching Children Law to practitioners, academics and trainees.
Safda is on the Law Society Children Panel and specialises in Children Law and Adoption. He writes regularly for various journals, such as Family Law Journal, Legal Executives Journal and Law Society Bulletin.
The long awaited Family Proceedings Rules are scheduled to come into effect on the 6 April 2011. They will provide a single set of rules of court for proceedings in the Family Proceedings courts, County and High Courts.
Underpinning the rules will be the Civil Procedure Rules. There are many hundreds of pages to consider before they come into force. There are to be several practice directions accompanying the rules.
