Peter Camp

Professor Peter Camp

Professor Peter Camp is a solicitor, and a well-known and respected speaker on regulatory matters affecting the legal profession, including solicitors’ accounts, conduct and ethics, financial services, money laundering, and partnerships. He also provides consultancy services.

He was a principal lecturer at the College of Law in Guildford until 1985, when he joined Clifford Turner (later Clifford Chance) as Director of Education and Professional Ethics. In 1988 Peter and Sue Camp formed EPS, and in 1999 Peter was appointed as the first Visiting Professor (Chair of Ethics) at the College of Law. He is a former member of the Law Society Financial Services Taskforce, and a former member of the Law Society’s Editorial Board, which drafted the new Code of Conduct for Solicitors.

Professor Camp is the author of Solicitors and Money Laundering – A Compliance Handbook: 3rd edition 2009

The third edition of this bestselling guide has been fully updated (January 2009) to take account of the impact of significant developments in legislation and best practice including the Money Laundering Regulations 2007.
