This package includes both Magistrates Court Qualification assessments; the Portfolio Submission and Interview & Advocacy Assessment (IAA) and online support and interactive live sessions for each assessment. A legal knowledge based course, Introduction to Magistrates Court Advocacy, is also included. This package is for qualified practitioners only.
Portfolio Submission
The Portfolio will contain summaries of twenty-five cases where you have provided advice and assistance to clients at the magistrate's court.
IAA
The purpose of the Interview & Advocacy Assessment (IAA) is to enable us to assess your competence and effectiveness as a duty solicitor acting for a client in magistrates' court proceedings.
Online Support
Developed by Datalaw's Assessment Board and accessible via any internet connected computer, mobile or other internet ready device for a period of 12 months, the Portfolio and IAA online support courses are samples based and comprise the following materials:
